Philip Weinholtz began integrating art, commerce and activism while attending high school at Hartford, Connecticut’s Watkinson School.  Sale of his stylized caricature note cards of Gandhi, Martin Luther King, Mother Theresa, and Malcolm X raised approximately $10,000 in donations split between Hartford’s Peter’s Retreat homeless shelter and Watkinson’s Student Foundation. This project was featured both locally and nationally in the Windsor Journal, the Hartford Courant and by Teaching Tolerance: A Project of the Southern Poverty Law Center. Later, while a student at the University of Hartford’s Hartford Art School, Phil created an award winning United Nations’ Millennium Goals poster at the Icograda International Design Conference. At Hartford, he combined study of photography, web development, graphic design and video production in both the Media Arts and Visual Communication departments.  Since graduating from Hartford, where he also captained the Cross Country and Track teams, Phil has continued to work in a variety of media, in particular working on short films and diversified media packages for political and advertising campaigns.

Still based in Hartford, Phil works with clients located locally, nationally and internationally. He prefers collaborating with open-minded individuals seeking creative solutions to their web development, photograph, video and packaging needs. Phil is also a Managing Partner for Johnson Weinholtz LLC whose purpose is to develop quality educational and business programs, materials and systems that will produce a positive and profitable lifetime impact on the systems, organizations and people they serve.
